Find Me Alive® FAQs and Safety Policy
1. What is Find Me Alive?
-
Find Me Alive is a safety-awareness and self-protection service that lets you record or leave a message when meeting someone new or traveling to an unfamiliar location.
-
Your message becomes a secure record—kept for 30 days—that can be accessed by law enforcement or trusted contacts if you go missing or are in danger.
2. When should I leave a Find Me Alive message?
-
Before meeting a person you do not know.
-
Before or during travel to a new or unfamiliar location.
-
Whenever you feel uncertain or unsafe.
3. What should I do in an emergency?
-
If you are in immediate danger, call 911 (or your local emergency number) right away.
-
If unable to remain on the line with operator, provide your full name and state "I am with FindMeAlive.org".
-
Find Me Alive is not an emergency-response service. It is designed to record and store critical information that can help rescuers locate you.
4. What kinds of messages are allowed?
-
Messages must focus on personal safety, travel, or meeting-situation awareness.
-
Messages that are unrelated or violate safety guidelines may be blocked to protect users and preserve system integrity.
5. What safety questions can I be asked?
-
You may be asked:
-
Are you in immediate danger right now?
-
Is anyone near you threatening to harm you?
-
Do you feel safe where you are?
-
Has someone hurt you or tried to hurt you?
-
Are you being followed or held against your will?
-
Do you need police, fire, or medical help right now?
-
Can you safely speak, or should you answer yes or no only?
-
Is there a weapon or dangerous object involved?
-
Are there children or others in danger with you?
-
6. What is my PIN number for?
-
Every Survivor (registered member) receives a five-digit PIN.
-
That number activates and authorizes your recorded call, ensuring messages are verified and traceable only to you.
7. Is there a Survivor Compensation & Referral Program?
-
As a Survivor (registered member), any business account you secure entitles you to 30 percent of that account’s yearly revenue (if all project milestones are met).
-
You also earn a $100 referral fee for each new Survivor you help register and verify.
8. What are my personal safety steps if I feel in danger?
-
Find Me Alive teaches ten field-tested survival techniques:
-
Stay loud and attract attention (“I don’t know you!”).
-
Run toward people or lighted areas.
-
Drop belongings to leave a visible trail.
-
Use code words with friends or family.
-
Trust your instincts early.
-
Fight back smart—target eyes, nose, throat, groin.
-
Use your phone’s SOS or quick-record feature.
-
Create a digital breadcrumb trail (texts or voicemails).
-
Disrupt vehicle abductions—open door, hit horn, drop items.
-
Leave a pre-trip survival message with name, location, attire, and contact.
-
9. How do I leave a life-saving message?
-
Record or text one of these examples:
“This is [Name]. It’s [Time/Date]. I’m at [Location]. I’m meeting [Description]. Vehicle [Details]. I’m wearing [Clothing]. If you hear this, call 911. My contact is [Name/Number]. Please find me alive.”
